product name: HP Laptop 15-bs0xx, serial no. : CND80727FV ,Product no. : 3FQ15PA#ACJ. how to auto shut down problem.
Automatic repair will not fix
I bought a ProBook 645 G4 used exactly 6 months ago. Until then I use it normally, only now I had to change the SSD for a higher capacity one.
The problem is that the bios has a password and I don't remember which one it is.
I need to change the boot settings, but because of the password I can't.
Any way to resolve this?
Laptop has two ram slots and was initial a 2+4=6gb ram storage but the 2gb ram died living the laptop to operate with only the 4gb.... When both rams were working the laptop would sometime not turn on, only bleeping the power on icons and the caplocks,f11 and f12 keys then power of. After that bleep even the charger icon will turn off while it is still on the charger forcing me to unplug and plug back in the charger for it to light again. This happened every once in a while.. however after the death of the 2gb ram this has become a constant problem every time my laptop powers down forcing me to keep it powered on at all times. Note when I remove the ram from the laptop it turns on but obviously doesn't display and when I put back the ram it then again bleep once and bleep the second time before it completes shutdowns again.... The batter has been dead for 4 years and it has a problem overheating but besides that it is was working ok... It's windows 7 i7
I can't get past my initial "enter administrator password or power on password screen" I forgot my password. What do I need to do?
Hey!
So, the backstory is that I got a homework where I should download Oracle's VirutalBox and set up a Debian VM. The first error I found was when trying to set up the VM. I got the following error:
"Invalid settings detected: The hardware virtualization is enabled in the Acceleration section of the System page although it is not supported by the host system. It should be disabled in order to start the virtual system."
So after searching for solutions to the problem on google, I found that I had to enable 'Secure Virtual Machine' in my BIOS. Sounds easy right, so I restarted my laptop and tried to enter the BIOS but was inhibited by a section asking me to enter 'BIOS Administrator Password'.
I've searched the web for some sort of default password, but without success. So, to the question; Is there a Default Password or is it more likely that my school inhibits me from logging in?
I'm very thankful for answers,
Best regards
Your Swedish friend, Martin.
ps. I'm not sure which 'board' to post this on, so please forgive me if it doesn't belong.
I keep getting message to enter Administrator Password or Start Up Password. Disable code:
i 85478721
product name: HP ENVYX360
system disabled code: i 51160736
need administrative password. My laptop is not leaving that blue screen. How do I take off this disabled screen.
Lately, my laptop has been freezing out of nowhere while I'm playing League of Legends and the only way I can shut it down is to force shut it down and come back again, which takes a lot of time. I can't access task manager nor just quit the game only. What is wrong? My notebook OS is the MIcrosoft Windows 10 Home and the model is the HP Notebook 15t-dy100 CTO.
Computer is not powering on. We changed out the power jack. We think everything is connected. We get a couple white lights next to the power jack when we push the power button, but nothing else.
I get this error message whenever I boot my laptop.

Hey. I've been using my g6 laptop for about 9 years now. During that time I had to change the battery once, the HDD once and the keyboard once. It was running perfectly up until about 2 years ago.
It started showing some weird behavior with regards to how it wanted to boot up. It would not turn ON at all if the battery wasn't in and the wall charger was plugged in. Even if the battery is plugged in it won't turn ON, I had to take the battery out for a few minutes, put it back in and then it would boot (without wall charger plugged in).
A few days ago this got worse, now it's refusing to turn ON no matter what I do. I bought a new battery and while initially that would help it boot, if I turned the laptop off overnight and tried to turn it ON in the morning it would not start. I had to put the old battery in and then it would turn ON. So I went back to using the old battery (which is now 7 years old and doesn't hold charge for more than 5 minutes), as soon as it turns ON I plug it in and keep it like that for as long as I want it and then shut it off.
Now I have done all the hard reset methods, holding power button etc. And it doesn't work. I left the battery out for 2 days, put it in yesterday morning and it turned ON immediately. I shut it down last night and left the battery in it, and this morning it will not turn ON again. Can someone explain what this issue could be? I will be trying with a new battery again hopefully sometime next week to see if that's the issue (had already tried with 2 new batteries the issue was the same), but in the meantime would like any help. Thanks
--- Hi, so I posted this before but I can't find it anywhere in the forums. If this is a double post please delete it. ----
I've had this laptop for about 9 years. During this time I have replaced the keyboard, battery and HDD once. The current battery is at least 7 years old and has lost the ability to hold charge for more than 5 minutes. What it is good for is powering the laptop ON. The laptop for the last 2 years has refused to Power ON with the battery out and the wall charger plugged IN. I have tried new batteries as well, they do work but if I shut down the laptop at night and try to turn it on in the morning it doesn't boot. However if I put the old battery in and turn it ON it works (without the wall charger plugged in).
Since the old battery can't hold charge I power the laptop and plug it in and as soon as it boots. The past few days however the laptop refuses to turn ON unless the battery is removed for a long period of time (like a day at least) e.g. It wouldn't turn ON yesterday so I took the battery out and left it out until this morning and tried again and it turned ON!
Can someone explain to me why is this happening? Can I perform any tests now that the laptop is ON? (I won't be turning it off anytime soon)
Note: When the laptop doesn't turn ON I have tried the hard reset method of holding the power button for 20-40 seconds but it doesn't help. Only leaving the battery out for a long time allows the laptop to boot.
Thanks for the help!
