I bought my laptop two weeks ago and for the last 24 hours or so I haven't been able to turn it on.
The orange charge light remains on whether or not it's charging and never turns white even when it should be fully charged.
No other lights turn on and it won't turn on at all. I've already tried doing hard reset.

I am trying to install Ubuntu as a second operating system (next to Windows 10 64bit) on my HP ZBook 17 G3 workstation.
The ISO CD starts up but gives me the following errors :
After that the Workstation loads further but freezes,as well with Ubunti 32 bit and or 64 bit version.
My BIOS version is : N81 Ver. 01.44
Is there any workaround or solution?

I am in a big problem. Once my laptop hangs or freezes when am using it and restarts, it cannot perform a windows start up repair and boot. I have to reset my pc and I always lose my data.

I'm having a really annoying problem on a Pavilion notebook.
Windows locks (freezes) in the loading stage - the loading icon keeps rotating eternally, and I can't reach the desktop.
I tried several times the automatic repair, but it seems to do nothing - the problem persists, even if I tried to recover three times in a row.
I already ran the system Quick test and the Extensive test, both encounters no errors in any device (it shows PASSED in every test).
I tried to reconnect the hard drive, no success again.
Tried to reinstall Windows from a bootable USB drive, installation freezes before starting file copy.
I removed the HDD from the notebbok, install it to a desktop computer, and run the Windows installer (same USB stick, same HDD drive, and it worked like a charm).
AFTER I had installed Windows (with no problem at all), I put the HDD back in the notebook.
Then it shows HP logo, the loading icon... then HP logo vanished (and I was very hopefull at that point)... and the loading icon continues rotating for about 15 minutes, until I gave up and shutdown the notebook.
Long story short: there seems to be not a faulty HDD, I just booted up Windows from the very same disc on my desktop. Nothing shows on screen to indicate an error or any kind of problem. It keep "loading" Windows indefinetely, and I can't reach desktop, neither login or welcome screen. As I said before, I reformatted and reinstalled Windows fresh - so no, there's no update or any application installed recently causing this behaviour.
In setup logs, there are some warnings about fan cooling malfunction, but I'm pretty sure that this doesn't prevent the system to boot up... Am I right?
Any of you have ever seen this kind of problem?
I'm very worried because this machine is from a third person.

In my laptop while typing the pointer move to the beginning automatically so i am copied program files and programe (x86) to an another internal hard disk then i reset my laptop without erasing personal files. Then my laptop restarted until 53% then it shows undoing changes and then booted at there it says prerparing automatic repair then it says critical process died then it lods to 100%
then says automatic repair failed at there i entered advanced options inside that i used all options even reset this pc also fails and come back to this i doesn't created any restore point eventhough i booted my laptop to safe mode once again the same things appears some time it says to see logfiles/srt/srtlog.txt if i saw it using comand prompt on it 'unable to dedect the problem' it us windows 10 updated laptop and also i tried to uninstall resent updates it als move me to thr same one. All options move me to the same one. It has only one operating system. I don't have any iso image please help me to get out of this.

Hello, I have a problem with my laptop. When I press the power button, it lights up, I can hear the fan for one second, than nothing happens. Nothing appear on the screen, not even the hp logo. The screen is black. Also, it's not that normal black, because when I force it to shutdown, I can see the screen changing its black a little. What can you suggest me to do? I've just installed windows 10 on it, but I don't think it's relevant.

I have a issue of administrator password or power on password after switching on the laptop.
After entering 3 random passwords I'm getting a code " i 76008768" with system disabled message.

If you right-click on the empty desktop, the PC freezes and starts charging. I can not interact with everything on the desktop (folders, files, other), but I can safely use the taskbar to open folders or other.
In a nutshell, it locks the desktop and only unlocks after 1 or 2 minutes of loading.
I also tried to create a folder with shortcuts, but it still crashes.
I have had this problem for a month now, it happens at any time (not just immediately after startup) and the various diagnostic programs provided by hp have not encountered any problems.
What should I do?
Have a notebook 17-1033dx. I added more memory..easy no big deal. While a had the cover off i took out the battery and cleaned the fan and so on. Put it back together and i can't get to the bios to change the FN key settings. I have no clue what my password is. After 3 word passwords i get a code. First code was " i 70674954 ". when i tried again the code was " i 50875712 ". How do i solve this?

I recently received a fan error and post would notify me of this which I would continue by pressing enter. This went on for about 6 months and there were no other issues, I would hear the fan running as well so I figured it was a faulty sensor. About 2 weeks ago I started being prompted for an administrative or power on password which I never set. I am no longer able to get into the operating system (Windows 10 pro 64bit) nor can I access the bios. I have attempted to reset the bios by unplugging the battery and this prompted a bios recovery, however, on recovery completion the black screen with a blue prompt for password reoccurred. Is there any way to recover from this without replacing the motherboard???

I have a friend who say he forgot his password on his laptop. I'm thinking he meant the OS password but when I powered it on it's asking for an administrator password or power on password. It first got a CMOS checksum invalid message, and then said it was being reset. It said the CMOS was reset and then rebooted. It then went to the screen requesting the Administrator Password or Power on Password. I hit enter three times and it says System Disabled and gives a code of 84115456. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
