Hi!! Wondering if this had solved your issue. We have hundreds of irreplaceable pictures on our computer and this just happen to us as well after not even a year and a half of owning this thing.

I logged in to my laptop this morning to do updates. When updates were done....I rebooted it. When it came up....I went to log back in & it said that the password was not correct. Same password that I used the first time. What on Earth do I do now ?????

I have this same issue. It’s not working still. I tried the above. I also tried resetting it by pressing the F11 and it seemed like it was going to do it but stayed on 1% for about 15 minutes. It’s a computer that’s never been used because of this issue, but it was bought dec 2016. Please help

I have an HP Envy m6 notebook which i have been using since November of 2013, it has never given me a problem, except for the battery that just died 2 months back so i have been using it with a chager ever since. Last night i was working on a project, saved it and shut down the notebook, this morning when i try to power it on it does not boot, when i press the power button, the lights (power btn and wi-fi key, f12) come on for exactly 4 seconds then it switches off, i have tried removing the charger and holding down the power btn for 20 seconds option with no luck. I have tried to Google other solutions with no luck at all. Has anyone ever had a similar issue and how did they solve it.
Please help im desperate.
My sister was using my notebook but unexpectedly died a few weeks ago. Well now I can not get into my device because she has her email and a password to get into the system. Could someone please tell me how , if at all, can I get through this or around it. I am not very computer smart so please let me know in the easiest way known.

We recently brough 3 HP 455 G4 laptops and all three have been randomly powering off and restarting.
For the last few weeks one has been fine, while the other two continue to restart.
I have updated to the most recent BIOS that does note that one of the fixes is "Fixes an issue which causes the system to shutdown and restart unexpectedly."
Unfortunately this has not resolved the issue, so what further solutions can I try to stop this issue from happenning please?

My HP Laptop won't turn on and when i press esc it says 'esc... pause startup'...
When i try to do the hard or forced reset methodit won't even help.
We're just transitioning now to the 1040 G4s for our fleet and have not been able to have a device show a NIC during PXE boot. On the Z240s we had built-in LAN adapter and the G3s a simple port breakout, but these are not available options on the G4.
I've read elsewhere on the forums that PXE boot is supported with this dock, but I would assume it should work out of the box and that's certainly not the case. What steps would be required to enable this?

HI, Today I activated the HP SpareKey on my notebook, now when I restart the PC, after entering the password on the HP screen, there is the usual windows boot screen but no longer appears the space to insert the password and I can not access to the the desktop remaining stuck on the login screen of windows 10. How do I access to the desktop? How can I disable HP SpareKey from the Bios menu?
My laptop is only two months old now and about a month ago it started taking a while to get to the log on screen (about 30 seconds) but i thought it was no big deal, as it still is quite fast and thought it may simply be just from boot programs and such. but fast forward another month, it will take 1-2 minutes just to show my log in screen. then i still have to wait for it to either turn on windows hello or let me put in my pin, which is about another 30 seconds. and sometimes windows hello fails to work all together.

Upon booting up my computer, I get a screen that says RAID volumes: None defined; Physical devices ID#0 shows disabled on type/status AND Physical devices ID # 1 shows Non-Raid Disk on type/status. Then, I press Control I to get into the configuration utility and I don't know what to do. Please help.
