Stream 11 Pro (TPN-Q154) blank screen on boot-up
The notebook took a slight bump hitting the floor and the screen immediately went black. Backlight intact but nothing on the display.
On boot, backlight comes on, then the brief period where backlight goes off (normal boot procedure), but just a blank backlit screen after that.
Tried a hard reset, no change.
Connected external output HDMI to my LCD, no video output.
I just tried recovering the BIOS using the key press combination. After it powered on, he screen stayed blank but the backlight did not come on. The light on the caps lock button blinked on and off every couple seconds; it did this for about 20 minutes straight, and nothing else, until I powered it off.
I tried powering it on again but got the same thing I was getting before: Blank screen with a backlight on.

[Zbook 15 G3] BIOS 01.33 Rev A causes an error the device cannot be booted in Dual channel mode.

I am using a Zbook 15 G3 device running Windows 10 pro 64bit version 1803 OS build 17143.472. The device has 2 RAMs Hynix 8GB running dual channel mode.
- The problem occurred since I updated the bios from version 01.25 to version 01.33 at the HP Support Assistant recommendation.
After a few days of using my device started hanging when restarting from hibernation.
Next, the device cannot be turned on completely, nothing is displayed on the screen, and the Capslock error light flashes 3 times (Memory error code).
- If I insert 2 RAM modules in single channel mode in any couple slots (slots 1-3 or 2-4 are single channel mode), the device can operate normally.
- If I inserting them in dual channel mode slot 1-2, the Capslock blinking indicates memory error, cannot be started at all.
- If I inserting them according to dual channel mode 3-4, the screen now requires re-inserting into slots 1-2 to ensure system performance; and of course, the BIOS also does not allow to start Windows.
- Dual channel memory mode works perfectly normally when I downgrade BIOS to version 01.27.
* I cannot understand why BIOS update 01.33 Rev A has been released for nearly 4 months without anyone noticing this error and HP did not issue a subsequent fix.
I suggest HP quickly check and fix the error as soon as possible.

Hp spectre laptop not charging
My hpspectre x360 13 laptop does not charge anymore. It had trouble Charing earlier on but got worse and not it just doesn't. I tried checking with a replacement charger for the laptop but still same result.
Symptoms seem like mentioned in one of earlier posts regarding the charger port wires breaking due to the silly design.
For such an expensive laptop this is really horrible. Unfortunately my laptop is no longer under warranty apparently so this is gonna cost me money and time to get fixed.
Please let me know what I should be doing. I have tried the reset options which do not work, charging simply is not an option

hp slit x2 won’t start or boot
My hp split x2 non removable battery won’t start up or boot.
It got to low battery and I tried to plug in the charger but I accidentally had the plug by the USB port there was a tiny spark and it went off
now when I plug in the charger and press power for a long time the battery Led blinks once white and once orange and then back to white and it still won’t turn on
when I try to switch it on while it’s not connected to the charger it blinks white 3 times
when I remove the tab from the keyboard and try to power ur without plug in the charge it shows pink
ive tried all the trouble shooters and you haven’t given much infor on the led battery port significance. I tried

Looking for bios update. (2293.bin)
Hi, I am having trouble finding the correct BIOS update for my HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC. I have tried updating using the BIOS updater (sp88840) that is for my notebook but to no luck. The board ID of my notebook is 2293. The BIOS updater does not contain the right update file for my board ID so it can not update the BIOS.
Where would I be able to find the "2293.bin" update file for my notebook?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Black screen with cursor after login
I logged into my account and its only a black screen with cursor. I can move the cursor but can't do anything else. I've done whatever that was on the last post of this topic which is to wait for 5 to 10 minutes for the screen to show up and follow the instruction they gave. I waited for more than an hour and no screen was shown. Please help me resolve this issue. Much thanks.

Blue Screen Error @ Startup associated with Video Driver (2)
Hello im sorry that i pretty much dropped this entire topic last year. I will be completely honest that as we were going back and forth i really lost the motivation to go through more and more effort to try to resolve this.
I have started to need a laptop to use and i am reviving this issue that origionally started here:
At this point, the answer to the last comment is that i have used the driver removal utility and that works. I am able to boot up my computer with no issues, although any programs that require an installed video driver will obviously not run. I found all the dump files you are asking about and have uploaded them along with a couple of files i found under my user-appdata-temp location in which the computer system told me "relevant" files may be found there, as well as the minidump folder.
Anyway, i have uploaded all these files to a drive folder located here:

The dump files back from June 2017 are also in there and hopefully will be helpful.

My grandson has a HP Stream Model 14-ax010wm which will not boot and displays Automatic Repair unsuc

I used the command prompt to recover the USER Documents folder and need to reload Windows 10 in S mode.
A brief review of the hard drives appears to have what appears to be a normal inventory of Windows files. I assume the BCD or other boot control files are what was corrupted and caused the boot failure. I need to reload Windows and require the Windows Product Key. How do I recover it from the BIOS or from inside the case?

Hard drive failure
Hi,
My laptop suddenly stopped when I was using lumion then after about 5 min I pressed power button after restart a blue screen showed up for a few seconds and I can't read error message.
Then I tried to boot from os boot manager same thing then from usb nothing happened stuck on black screen
Finally, I tried hp system diagnostics memory check passed but the hard check didn't

If this means that I should replace it with a new, should I buy I specific one or any one will be fine

about a week ago someone checked it for bad sectors and repaired it.

HP 15 Notebook needs reset, but has administrator bios password
I'm trying to get into bios on this hp 15-ayo61nr notebook as to be able to install linux mint via a flash drive. I enter a wrong password three times and it promts me with "System Disabled [ i 93681869 ]". I have seared on https://bios-pw.org and the password it gave me was too long to even be entered in as my password. I tried the alternate ones also and nothing works. I searched through the topics on this site and found similar post, but none were recent enough for me to reply to. I'm hoping one of the guys who helped the other guys out could please provide me with a password...I'd be so appreciative!

Password after BIOS upgrade
Hi,
I have "successfully" upgraded my BIOS to F.70, but after this operation I am unable to enter BIOS - it is now password protected (before BIOS upgrade password was not set). Now I can see new BIOS for my model F.73 with info
"Fixes an issue which causes the administrator password to be requested by the system when the -p command is used to flash the BIOS.", so I have tried to upgrade my laptop to this version, but I cannot upgrade BIOS because it is asking for BIOS password and after 3 fail attempts it is not accepting new passwords. Can someone help how to handle this situation?
