My HP palilion DV7 3030ed (windows 7) won´t boot up.
I have this problem for 3 days now. The screen stays completely black. Caps and Num Lock leds blink twice, which according to HPs websites means corrupted bios.
I have spent 3 days now trying to solve this, in these 3 days I was able to start Windows twice (pressing either escape, F2 or F10). One time I was able starting in Windows safe mode and once in Windows normal mode. At least I was able to make a backup of my important files. But for the last 1,5 days I have not been able to boot up anymore (having tried several dozens of times).
So far I tried:
- Hard Reset (both with and without battery)
- Pressing either escape, F2, F8, F10 or the Windows button + the B key
- Start with Linux installation, but my laptop doesnt read the disc
- HP USB Flash disk recovery tool, but the laptop doesnt read the usb stick
- During the only time the laptop started normally I did a Bios upgrade (from the HP website). Didnt solve it.
I am not 100% sure but I think it is not a hardware problem as I was still able to boot up and start windows twice and everything seemed fine. However, I ran out of options now. Any ideas what else to try??
