One day my computer would not turn on, all that happened was the caps lock would blink three times.
I took it into office max and the guy said it was a RAM issue.
He said he fixed the issue, i am pretty sure he put two brand new chips in there. It was working fine for about three weeks then I had the same issue.
I called him the other day and told him im having the same issue. He said to open up where the ram is and unplug them and plug them back in and try and boot the computer.
I followed his instructions and it didnt work. He said to try a combination of swithing which chip goes in which port so i swithced them. It started up and went into recovery mode and was fine.
About an hour later I went to use my computer and i was getting the same blinking lights as discribed before. So i took both chips out and only used one. It booted and worked until i turned the computer off for a while and then turned it back on i had the same problem.
So i just swaped them out and had the same problem. I have noticed that if i unplug the ram and plug it back in my computer works fine, but obviously i dont want to do that every time i need to boot my computer.
Do I need a new computer?
This is extreamly frustrating, please help ASPA. I am a college student and need my computer.
