Can't boot from password reset disk...
Hello,
About 3 weeks ago, I bought HP Stream 11-r010nr 11.6-Inch Notebook (Intel Celeron Processor, 2GB RAM, 32 GB Hard Drive, Windows 10 Home 64- Bit).
I know this computer is not the best one.
Anyhow, my son(9 years old) used it, and he said the passworld did not work on the laptop.
I have tried to solve the issue.
Finally, knew it, and I made a password reset disk.
My problem is here. I do not know how to boot the notebook from the password rest disk.
I have tried to push all the buttons from F1 to F12 after re-starting.
All the buttons did not work.
Please, help me.

HP Elitebook 745 G3 Bootup with message "Shared SPI Flash was recovered ..."
Hi from time to time I get the follwing message while booting my new HP Elitebook 745 G3 (AMD A12PRO Procesor):
"The Shared SPI Flash was recovered from the Embedded Controller flash"
This message is quite annoying because it extends the boot time and is initiated by a loud beep.
In older posts for other types this probem was fixed wit a new BIOS version.
My Current System BIOS is N73 Ver 01.08 01/28/2016 (should be the latest version)
I updated my laptop with a second DIMM Module (8 GM original = Samsung M471B1G73EB0+ 8 GB Kingston 99054128-417) both run at 1,6 GHz as DDR 3 mem types.

Cant boot laptop
My hard disk seems to be corrupted and now my laptop wont boot.
Of course, the normal solution is to use the HP Recovery Disk, however my laptop does not even get to make any attempt to boot from my (external) DVD drive. On power on, I get a message in the lower left corner saying "Press the ESC key for Startup Menu". At this stage, if I do press the ESC key all I get is the message replaced by "ESC...Pause Startup" - and no further screen update - ever (well, at least for 10 mins). If, whilst at the "Press the ESC key for Startup Menu" stage, I press F2, the message is replaced by "F2...Startup Check" but then no further progress is made.
So now I am at a loss as to what to do next. Please can anyone help?

Hi all,
after a total reset I have to Enter administrator password or Power on Password but I haven´t it.
After three missing passwords I got System Disable and Key: 55001602.
Can anybody help me?

pc will not turn on bios problem
help: my pc will not turn for some reason so i tock it to repair shop and they said we need bios to fix it he called it "power Bios" and they could not find bios for my product. and when i press the power on button it shows no reaction what so ever but as i pluge in to the powercable and press the power button at the same itime i have pluge it only than it thw power button blinks twice. so can some one help with the bios software (he also said it has to be around 8mb)

Laptop stuck on Welcome loading page
I recently updated ITunes and was asked to restart my laptop in order to complete update. Upon restarting, when trying to log in I have been kept waiting on the loading page that says Welcome. I have restarted twice and on both occasions have been kept for more than 10 minutes, I am on my third restart now and I have been kept waiting on the Welcome loading page for over half and hour. I'd appreciate help asap as this is the laptop I use for assignments and work!

HP Pavilion dv7 won't power up
When I try to power on my laptop all the lights just flash, nothing happens. I have done a hard reset by removing the battery and disconnecting the DC power. Let set for 10 minutes. With the power sources still removed I held the power on button down for 40 seconds. Pluged the DC power back in. White light came on, press power on same problem. I have done this three times. Any ideas folks.

Laptop turns on but doesn't boot up
So the other day I tried to reset my HP ENCY m6-1105dx so then I could have more space. so I left it there and when I got back it apparently shut off due to over heating. When I turned it back on it said Reset Failed and it gave me some options. I pressed the option where it said something like continue to desktop or something but I did not proceed to reset it again. When I clicked the option it just shows a black screen with the logo on it. And in a few seconds it's still on, but the screen turns black and makes a weird click noise and then goes back to the screen that is black and has the logo and it keeps on doing this. When I click the caps lock button it turns as white but when I pressed it again it doesn't light back up and the Wifi button is orange and is usually white when I turn it on. I tried to do a recovery but it did the same thing, (Windows key + B + Power) oh and also on the right side of the laptop there are 2 lights right next to the disk input and the top light which is the power is gray and the hard drive Iight I believe blinks at a non stable tempo and then turns off which makes my laptop continue the cycle that it was doing.

Forgot Bios password
I created an a BIOS account on my HP ProBook 450 G2 and after restarting I have been unable to login using the same password I created it with. When powered on it will ask "Enter Password" and I will enter the password, then it will ask "Enter Password Again" and I'll do so, then again it asks "Enter Password Again" and I enter. After this it takes me to a page that says "On-Screen Keyboard" and I enter my password using the onscreen keyboard. Then it displays the Authentication Failed page saying System Locked. Press the power button to restart the system. How can I solve this problem? Your help will be highly appreciated. Also their is no operating system on the hard drive. sticker says win 8 pro and i want to upgrade to win 10 as soon as i can get in.

Laptop will not boot, Memory and Hard Drive test OK
I am trying to help my (94 year old!) father get his laptop working again. The condition the laptop is in is what it was when I arrived, and I don't know what he may have done to cause these issues.
The laptop fails to boot. It oscillates between a black screen and the "press esc" message screen. Pressing esc pulls up the usual list of options. System diagnostics do not reveal any errors. Start up is OK, Memory is OK, Hard drive is OK. The Run in test is taking forever (We have completed 47 iterations!), but I have already run the full memory and Hard drive tests and everything passed. I tried the System Restore option, but it just sat there overnight with a dark screen. I am running out of ideas. The only other thing I can think to try is to try to reinstall Windows seven from the CD that came with the laptop. But before I do that, I thought I would seek some professional help. Any other ideas?

OS boot manager
Hi All,
I got this HP Pavilion 15-p091sa Notebook touch screen but came with windows 8.1 unfortunately. I felt compelled to format the hard drive and do a clean install of stable reliable Windows 7 64 bit. After deleting their primary partition I created 2 seperate primary parititions for my own reasons and went forth installing windows 7 on the smaller primary partition below of 196gb.
However when I now restart my PC an OS boot menu apear where I need to choose to boot with either Windows 7 or Win 8.1 - even after I formatted and clean installed Windows 7. I want to get rid of this boot menu so it just automatically boot up with Windows 7 - my logic tells me maybe it's HP's factory recovery kicking in from one of the other OEM or WinRE partitions that brings up that OS boot menu. Should I delete one of these partitions to get rid of the OS boot menu?
Would anyone know?
