Spectre x360 shuts down while in sleep mode
Brand new laptop works great but for one thing - after about 3 hours in sleep mode, it shuts down altogether. HP says this is a hardware issue and wants me to send the computer to them for repair, but that is a big hassle and problem is so relatively minor want to explore all options before I go that route. Has anyone experienced this? Was it resolved, and if so, how?

Bios update taking a while
So I usually have the hp logo in the bottom left of my screen telling me about updates and stuff and I clicked on it and went to the first update and it was some bios update. I started the download and it said my pc was gonna shut off and to not try and wake it up. Tbh I'm very new to computers and it's been off for like 20 minutes now. If someone could help this ignorant kid out then that would be great

Computer passes all HP Advanced System Diagnostis except BIOS Management
When turn on computer, get messages Preparing Automatic Repair, then Diagnosing Your PC. Tried Advanced Options, Continue, Troubleshoot, Reset this Pc, Reinstall Windows (keep my files), System Restore, Start up Repiar, Go Back to Previous Version(We couldn't find a previous version of windows to take you back to) - all of these just continued the loop. Performed HP Advanced System Diagnostics - Start Up Test, Hard Disk Test, Run in Test, System Tune Up, and Memory Test - which all passed. The BIOS Management was run - the System BIOS update, Rollback, Reading BIOS Image File - these tests all FAILED.
System Information shows BIOS Version F.1B. How do I locate the correct BIOS? Obviously, I need to download to a USB stick on current computer, then use USB stick on problem computer and start computer from USB port - it this correct? I see so many warnings on site, it makes me too cautious - so look forward to confident instruction to fix this issue and get the computer running again. Too many files, pictures, etc to not be able to access.

Re: blank screen
My computer is a Compaq Presario CQ60-615DX. IT was upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 about 2 years ago. Since upgrading, the screen freezes a lot . Usually I reset by turning the computer off for a few minutes and the turn it back on and it reboots. This time, it didn't reboot to Windows 10. I got a blank gray screen, no blinking cursor . What's the problem? How do I fix it?

Bypass BIOS password
Need to figure out master bios passwords. Bought my envy over 2 years ago. Do not remember what I put as my administrator password on the BIOS. Have already fiddled with the CMOS battery and still cannot access info to get my Windows Key just in case its needed for recovery software that I have enroute.

Boot device not found, new SSD with clean install of Windows 7
Did a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit on a brand new Silicon Power SSD. It will boot the operating system right after installation but rebooting after gives a "boot device not found" error. Can boot with install disc/USB present (select as boot device but ignore "press any key" prompt).

Laptop works but stuck at loading screen
So I updated my graphics driver and tried to restart my laptop to see the changes but it just get stuck at loading screen (5 circling dots). I tried to power reset it but it didn't work. I tried the system recovery too but it just shows black screen when I boot it. The laptop still works I can still hear sounds when I repeatedly press the shift key please help.

Can't sign in as keyboard letters not working only numbers
Suddenly my laptop won't let me login as the letters on keyboard are not working, only numbers.
I cannot access the control panel to attempt to remove the keyboard driver and re Install.
I've tried rebooting with battery out etc
I've even tried a factory reset.
This laptop is 14 months old.
Please help.

Can't get to password screen
When I turn my laptop on I get a pretty picture and the date. When I hit enter to go to the password screen, the date scrolls up but I do not get the password box. I tried the suggestions listed in other's questions about the same issue, but they do not work.

Can't log into laptop. Need to reset or delete admin password.
I just purchased my laptop from someone and ended up logging out before creating an admin user id and password for myself. Now that I have logged out, I can't get beach into the computer under his admin. He won't respond and give me his password credentials. I have tried resetting the computer, trying to go in under safe mode, everything!!! How do I get into this computer now??!!

my hp not detect hard drive
after some days of working one day my hp dv7-6c17ez went off and by the time I switched it on it came with no bootable drive and hard drive was not detectable anymore I try to change hdd , SATA connectors but with no joy and if I use the same hdd as external boot it works perfect help me to solve this

Envy 360 m6 won’t turn on
My laptop just shut down and won’t turn back on. A frown face came on the screen, said there was a problem, was being restarted. The computer restarted, HP logo came on, then turned off completely. Took in for repair, got a new hard drive, it was fine for two days. Today, the same thing happened. Now it’s not turning on. Tried to do a hard restart. Didn’t work. My warranty expired 1 month 4 days ago. This seems to be happening all over this forum. Is this laptop series defective?? The fact that this computer is just over 1 years old and costs 1200 bucks and now completely dead-this just sucks all around. Any suggestions?

HP Spectre x360 will not charge or turn on
My laptop prompted me to charge and when I plugged it in it would not. I tried it with various outlets and with another charger for the same laptop and it still would not charge. At first when I plugged it in the light would blink three times and now it does not respond at all. It charged just fine only a few hours before and the laptop had not moved from my desk since that time (meaning: did not fall or undergo any other physical damage).
Reading online it seems that this is a common defect with this laptop. I would like to get it fixed but my laptop is past its warranty. This is not the first issue I have had with the laptop (I have had to sent it in more than once for sporadic fuzzy sound, which is still an issue) so I am very disappointed in the fact that now it will not charge. Do I have any options?
