PC envy 17 TouchSmart won't boot-blank screen, capslock 3 blinks; power button and F12 on solid
Went through HP suggestions to remove battery and hold power on button for 30 seconds.
Replaced battery and no change. As stated in the post title the power on button is lit along with the F12 button and the caps lock button blinks 3 times. The fan comes on for about 3 seconds and then quits. This cycle repeats with fan cycling on and off. Hard Disk does not seem to run at all. The system is a HP envy 17 TouchSmart with 8GB ram and a 1TB Hard Disk.
Removed ram and used a pencil eraser to clean contacts then tried replacing ram in different slots, one 4GB stick at a time and both sticks. No change. Tried removing ram and re powering on. No change.
What do I do next? What is causing the no boot and blinking capslock?

Need to hard reset to power laptop on each time
Yesterday my laptop would not turn on, there was no orange light to indicate it was charging. I did a hard reset and that worked fine.
Today I have the same issue again. Hard reset has worked.
What would be causing this? How do I solve it?

Accidentally left charging over night, won't turn on. Battery making whistling noise
Hi,
My 2 year old HP Notebook recently has been acting up and it won't turn on after I leaving it charging after a few hours when its off. This happened a few days ago but I just left the battery out for about 3 hours and tried a few methods to drain out the power and it turned on normally.
Now I had accidentally left the charger in and the light was on but had switched off when I opened the lid and it refuses to turn on even after 8 hours without the battery or AC in.
The battery also makes a weird whistling noise which I also heard when it didn't turn on before. The AC Adapter works normally on a Dell Notebook but doesn't light up or anything on this HP Notebook.
Has anyone got any suggestions? Should I buy a new battery and if so, from where?

HP laptop won't switch on
I can't turn my lap top on, the power light comes on, and the caps lock light flashes bits that's all it does.

HP Stream14
Purchased my HP Stream from Walmart and picked it up on 1/17. On 1/24, boot the laptop and get a hard drive error, which is an EMCC memory drive - machine won't boot. Call HP try windows key with B, windows key with V and machine still doesn't boot. HP tells me warranty is up, though I have had machine 1 week - now they tell me it will need to be shipped back, though out of warranty.

HP Envy rebooting without warning following windows update
Ever since the major windows update before Christmas, my HP Envy notebook has been rebooting without warning - there is no error screen, and boot time is normal. I've updated the BIOS, and turned off automatic reboots on hardware failures. It's made no difference.
I have solved this before by rolling back the windows update. I then have no problems at all. It seems pretty clear that the update is causing some kind of problem. Is there any other solution, or is it a case of roll back again, and wait for HP to release some kind of fix?

BSOD Tcpip.sys
For the past few days, my laptop has been randomly shutting down with BSOD's that display a problem with "tcpip.sys" and "driver_irql_not_less_or_equal".
I use this computer for college, so as you could imagine this is presenting me with a lot of problems. In the past, I have dealt with a strange issue of the laptop restarting randomly, though I just sorta left it alone, as I bought this computer used anyways. This restarting issue never displayed any errors though, and only happened like once a week. Now I am getting this BSOD multiple times within an hour sometimes, and so I need it fixed.
I tried updating Windows (as there was a recent update available) and went through to make sure all my drivers were up to date on a program called "Driver Easy", which appears to be reliable, but this did not fix the issue.

How to install microsoft update
I can't install Microsoft Windows update.
I am running Win 10 Pro on a HP laptop ENVY 17-3270nr model # A9P84UA.
The latest installed updates on the computer are-
1/9/2018 Adobe Flash Player
1/9/2018 KB4054855
1/9/2018 KB4033393
1/13/2018 KB4049411
Currently there are 15 updates installed.
When the computer tries (many times a day) to update, the computer locks up at 45% on the magenta screen.
I have WEBROOT Secure Anywhere installed on the computer, and even when I uninstall the antivirus the update will not install.

spectre power on trouble
I have a Spectre x2 Detachable. Recently it will randomly make a high pitch sqeal on power up. It goes away when I shut it down. Now it will not turn on. The battery indicator notes it has a full battery but it will only turn on while plugged in.

my HP envy 360 15-u010dx doesn't turn on. I plug in the charger and the white light turns on and then when I click the power button it blinks white one time then it turns off right away. What do I do.
My lap top is fully charged and it still doesn't turn on? It just blinks one time and that's it, and I tried a Hard reset for my laptop multiple times and I tried all the different ways for the different type of laptops and non of them works. Please read the full thing before responding and please i need a useful solution.

HP 250 g5 administrator and power on password
My hp laptop when powered on boots up to the Administrator and Power on password display.
I had my laptop for 6 months now after purchasing it last year last year July. The problem occurred in December and was not able to fix this issue since after my 4 yr old son was trying to use it.
I am now stucked with the System Disable message [ i 51994749 ]
Is there anyway I can bypass this power on password?
