BIOS Update crashed my laptop - HP Envy 15-j021tX

I restarted my laptop and it gave me an option to update my BIOS. After the update reached 100% it prompted me to continue installation. The screen went black and the led on light stayed on. I thought it was booting up but the screen remained black for a very long time. I have tried to switch it off and on and tapping ESC key to get System diagnostics, but the screen remains black.

Why is this happening? Please help bring my laptop back to life.

I don't know what version the BIOS update was and I don't know what it was at.

Please help!
