About last october I bought a HP DV 17 Pavililon laptop. Its not a bad laptop but its good for what i need. heres the problem.
When Unplugged and then plugged back in from the charger it, it has a chance to slow down to 0.86ghz and freeze there. If I play a demanding game it goes up to 1.80ghz instead of 2.71ghz. This causes insane lag and the CPU fan even comes to a stand still sometimes..
Yes all options are maxed out for High performance CPU speed set to 100% all times.. yet it still locks up

Is there literally anyway to stop it from doing this? I have bios set to active cooling and fan always on.. It just happens when it comes unplugged. Only way to fix it is by Shutting down the PC and starting it back up.
Any help would be appreciated
