Hi! My HP EliteBook Folio 9470m has been having three issues. My HP EliteBook Folio 9470 is running on a Windows 8 operating system (I have yet to do the free upgrade to Windows 8.1 as I would like to resolve these issues first).
First issue: Hp Elitebook Folio 9470m freezes at boot up screen (loading bar does not appear).
For the past one week, I have been experiencing some problems when I start up my HP elitebook folio 9470m. When I turn on my laptop, the HP logo screen appears but the loading bar does not appear. It freezes at that HP logo screen for about a minute or so before two options appear. I forgot what these two are the options, but both lead me to the same error which says "No bootable image found, notebook will be shut down." This has been an inconsistent issue. The first time this error occured was on last Thursday. I could still resolve it by running my hard drive (both the short and extensive test) and memory test (both memory and hard drive tests gave me "PASSED" results) and by restarting my laptop twice. My laptop was working just fine later on that day. Subsequently, this happened again on the next day (last Friday) but the same method did not work. Today, I managed to boot up my laptop and it worked without any issues. I was wondering if this issue is because my hard drive is crashing or something. Can someone help me?
Second issue: My HP Elitebook Folio 9470m will not open the network and sharing center page.
Ever since last Thursday, aside from the first issue, I experienced another problem with my network and sharing center. When I right click on my wireless icon > open network and sharing center, the whole computer screen will lag, my computer screen will flash one time and the toolbar at the bottom of my desktop screen will flash all the shortcuts I have in my toolbar once, including the time and date in the toolbar, whether I try to open my network and sharing center from my desktop screen or on another screen (like on a website). The network and sharing center page refuses to open from the wireless shortcut, and even if I try to access it from my control panel, it doesn't open and will return to the screen I was at and my mouse can move and everything else is functioning fine as well. I need to fix this because I need to reset some wireless settings but it isn't possible now with this recurring issue.
PS: my wireless connection is still working just fine.
Third issue: My HP Elitebook Folio 9470m automatically pops up an error by Intel (R) Rapid Start Technology Manager error which says "your system does not appear to have Intel Rapid Start Technology enabled" whenever I just turn on my laptop and the desktop screen has just loaded.
I'm not sure if my laptop having the first two issues is related to this, but about a month ago or so, whenever I first log in to my laptop and it manages to get into the desktop screen, an error by Intel (R) Rapid Start Technology Manager which says "Your system does not appear to have Intel Rapid Start Technology enabled" appears. I still have yet to resolve this issue.
I apologise that I have posted one entire string of issues at one go because I have no time to call the HP technical support centre as the support centre closes whenever I've just reached home from school. I wouldn't mind if whoever is helping me to resolve these three issues wants to address these issues one by one with me if it makes things easier.
My HP Elitebook Folio 9470m's product number is D7Y09PA#AB4.
