Preparing to repair w/ black screen (repeating over and over)

I have the HP laptop mod #2000-2b19wm with Windows 8. The Screen goes black and continues to say Preparing to repair. Ive already completed the reboot by disconecting the battery , power cord and holding the power button down. I then turned it back on. It continues to do the same. I downloaded the windows 8 on a CD then put it in the HP. I only have a black screen and I am unfamilier with the procedures to force the CD to reprogram the Hp. I have no indicators on the screen. I can hear the CD spinning in the HP but it is not not loading or opening anything for me to proceed with the download.
