Laptop shuts down when reaching 30-35% battery. Main prior change: newly formatted hdd and fresh system installation. That means I have no Recovery partition. Since then my laptop started to lockup on battery use, cutting the time of mobile use nearly to half. I found this forum post, but reinstalling ACPI battery doesn't help, as system seem not to delete the driver, just the device. Also, updating the driver gives nothing, system says 'it doesn't need to be updated'. I've installed HP Support Assistaint, checked battery with it, it said the battery was ok (couple of weeks ago, now it says battery is getting weak). Please help getting it to work.
EDIT01: Having all the same with xubuntu. Laptop locked up on ~40% battery. It was an experiment, I'm still using Win8.1x64
