Hello all,
I have a Pavilion DV6 model from '09. It suddently stopped booting every time and it hangs on the HP Invent screen where it says "Press ESC for Startup settings". If I press ESC or F10, the text changes correctly to "ESC...Pause Startup" or "F10...BIOS Settings", but that's it, nothing else happens.
I didn't hear any beeps. I have been using an external HD and a new internal SSD, but I removed all of them, including the mouse and internal battery and I still get the exact same issue.
I have been and still am getting the "PRIMARY Battery very low (601)" warning lately, whenever I turn it back on (and the primary battery is still inside), but I remove it entirely as I said and still get the same behavior.
Should I look for a spare HP motherboard (and where)? Or maybe it is simpler like replacing the CMOS battery? Any other testing I can do?
Thank you ,
Liviu
