I noticed that the battery life on my 13t-3000 was nowhere near what it used to be, and was troubleshooting. I determined that it wasn't the battery and believe it may be an issue with the hardware on my 13t-3000...and a known one by other owners. My CPU locks at 1.7GHz when on battery. I was able to get it to work properly after going into the BIOS, saving and exiting, and plugging in temporarily to the AC adapter. That seems to unlock the speed again and allow it to fluctuate to lower speeds to save battery. I have the newest BIOS (F.14) that I was told was desiged to fix the issue (known bug) but it apparently doesn't. What is HP doing to fix this as it makes a huge difference in battery life. Likewise, has anyone figured out another fix for this? My computer speed locked up again when I turned it on a little while ago and I had to use the AC adapter to get it to unlock. I shouldn't have to check my clock speed every time I use the computer and use the AC adapter to fix it.
