After bios update hp envy 15 will not boot

Today I was prompted by my hp envy 15 touchsmart to update its bios, I had been prompted to do so multiple times but now I finally had spare time to do it and the update went smoothly but afterwards it restarted and the screen remained black as in not powered up. After remaining like this for a long duration of time I decided to turn it off and turn it back on, this did not work so I began to panic and eventually I read up on other people having this problem and restarting their bios. I tried the instructions multiple times with the battery in and without but it has not worked, I am asking for more specific instructions such as should the battery remain in or not excetera,I would also be grateful if you offered other solutions or ideas thank you

Specifics of problem: when powered on caps lock button flashes white quickly then remains dark, f12 (network) button remains orange and the computer can be heard operating
