Start-up Failure Code: HP 2000 Notebook

My laptop is misbehaving.  It boots but I get a blank screen after the Windows logo.  All I have is a mouse pointer and a blank screen.  I can move the mouse pointer around but there is nothing to click on.  The hard disk diagnostic test passed.  The start-up test failed with the following failure code:

6C627X-5RD6SV-MFKR4K-C08603

Is there a link on the HP Support web site where I can decode this failure code?  The laptop is out of warranty so I assume that I would have to pay for a support call.
