Elitebook Folio 9470m does not shot down after installation of Windows10
Hi,
after updating my HP Elitebook Folio 9470m to Windows 10 Pro 64, I am no longer able to shot down the PC.
Every time I am trying to do a shot down, the windows screen turns into black for a few seconds and than reappears.
I already did install the BIOS update version F.62 REV: A PASS: 1, as someone on the net said a BIOS update would help.
Unfortunately this was not a solution.

HP-G60 laptop will not boot up in safe mode
My laptop boots up and the sceen is sideways and the cursor is frozen. I have tried hitting the ctrl and alt key and up arrow but nothing happend. Can't get into the task manager either. Tried to boot up in safe mode but the up arrow does not work either. Please help.

Cannot shut down
Suddenly Laptop HP stream 13, will not shut down and eventually I have force close.Running win10 64

Laptop will not turn on
Hi,
Today, I opened my laptop to see the power button flashing on and off on a black screen. The laptop was unresponsive after pressing buttons and moving the touchpad for a while. I then removed the battery and reinserted it, only for it to not turn on at all. I removed the power cord and the battery, held the power button for 60 seconds, reinserted the power cord, and the laptop still refuses to turn on. I inserted the battery again and still, nothing.
Any ideas, help, suggestions?
Helpful information:
There is no light when the power cord is plugged in.
Battery was not low last time the laptop was in use.
Bought the laptop in April 2015
Never had this problem before.

Why does my HP Stream 11 laptop work slower when it is charging rather than on battery?
Hello, my laptop (HP Stream 11) is running very slow and when I check the task manager, it shows on the cpu that it fluctuates between 10-100 very fast. I have not been able to fix this problem for about a month now so I have decided to ask for help. If anyone has had this problem and has fixed it, or knows how to fix it, please post a reply. I don't want to resort to buying a new laptop, as this one is perfect for me (on battery).

Notebook fails to start
My HP ProBook 450 G3 randomly fails to start when press the power button. I need to remove the battery, plug it on the charger to start then I can put the battery back. The issue comes up randomly. It's a 2 month old Probook 450 G3 (i5/8GB/500GB)
Any idea?
Also, I have some issues with the UBS ports. Also appears to be random.

Unable to use SSD in new laptop
I'm attempting to put a 1TB crucial SSD (BX100) in my HP Zbook 15 G3, replacing the existing platter harddrive. And I don't appear to be able to get the SSD working when it's plugged into the laptops SATA connector. It works when connected via USB 3 or in another laptop using the SATA connector.
So now I’ve tried (and failed)
- Copying the disk image using macrum reflect recovery boot. With the SSD connected via USB. Which happened after the secure boot was disabled (but with legacy enabled).
- Loading the SSD in macrum reflect recovery console, which doesn’t display the device in diskpart or in the refect application at all.
- Updating the firmware on the SSD. There was an upgrade, but it didn’t fix the issue.
- Updating the BIOS on the laptop. There was a few upgrades, one for the BIOS, none of them have fixed the issue.
- Manually updating the GPT tables on the SSD using diskpart to be identifical as the source patter HD.
- Installing a fresh copy of windows on the SSD (possibly repairing the existing clone of the platter drive)
- The windows installer from SD card was unable to see the drive with either of the “Configure storage controller for RAID” turned on or off.
- Completely wiping the SSD (using diskpart) and attempting to install a fresh copy of windows on it (I saw online some suggestion that having GPT might prevent the device from being loaded) Got the idea here

However the UEFI firmware is able to test the SSD (to check it’s working and it passes) and report information about it such as the serial number and the disk size for it.
My thoughts now are that
- Possibly windows installer needs some sort of driver to load the SSD device. But I wasn’t able to find a driver on Crucial’s website for the BX100. Perhaps there’s a generic SSD driver?
- Perhaps the UEFI requires some sort of third party rom to use the SSD device (perhaps some sort of RAID controller or AHCI controller).
Does anyone have any suggestions? The laptop is still working with the original platter drive (which is what I've made this post using).

Hp Envy M6 constantly restarting
Hello all and thank you for reviewing my post. During my factory restore process, my laptop was stuck on 1%, so not thinking about it, I restarted my computer. When the advanced options came back up, it chose to continue on with Windows 10. Now when I try and turn on my laptop, it is on a never ending cycle of restarting. It'll get to the HP logo, stay there for a few moments,screen will go black, then back to the Hp logo. Is this something fixable? What are the steps I should take to get this issue resolved. I think what's happening is, my laptop is trying to boot, but since it went through the recovery process partially, it may have wiped my OS. PS, my laptop does not have disk drives.

Issue Starting up?
Hello, my HP laptop has been having issues starting up. I was using it when I left it plugged in for about 1/2 an hour (headphones were plugged in too). When I came back, the on/off button was blinking. I did as it said and held the power button down for a minute, and it stopped blinking. When I went to boot it up, the fans were working. However, after the HP logo along with the loading icon were displayed, the power button would show the system was on but the screen would be black. (If you can't tell) I do not know much about computers, so I need help.

laptop won't boot
I updated my laptop using the "update and shutdown" option. The next day I went to turn it on and the screen was black. It powers on, the fan runs and then stops, and the LED lights work. The keyboard is also not working so pushing buttons like f8 and f11 don't work. I tried hooking it up to a monitor but it doesn't work either. I also tried the hard reset but that didn't seem to work. What can I do? I really need it to work.

Black screen, no post, no light codes
Hello all, I need help as I already exhausted every single troubleshooting step I could think of. When pressing the power button the power and wifi lights come on as well as the fans and drives but the screen remains black.
I've tried the following so far.
Reseat the ram
Swap ram with known working ram
Tried only with one ram stick on one slot at a time
Replaced gard drive with known working one
Disconnect DVD drive
Replaced thermal paste on cpu and gpu
Removed cmos battery
Removed battery and tried only with power cable
Removed battery and pressed power button for a minute while disconnected to discharge it
Connected monitor on vga port while pressing the button for external monitor
Connected monitor through hdmi port
Diassembled everything and cleaned motherboard
Looked for damage on the mobile or bent pins on the cpu. Nothing seems damaged
Tried to recover bios (win button + b with usb holding bios recovery) this only gets the caps light blinking nonstop, no code.
Nothing seems to work and I'm not getting any Blink code at all (only when I remove the ram I get a code for no ram) besides this only the wifi light lits up orange and the power light
Please help!
