My HP Pavilion dv6z-1100 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC laptop has been getting these black screens (sometimes on weird ocassions even white screens) usually when I'm watching videos, but it has also happened while doing other stuff on the laptop. Whenever this happens, I obviously have to restart the laptop, but the screen freezes and glitches out if I try to restart it immediately.
I've had this problem twice before, and a can of compressed air on the fan and vents fixed it both times, but this time it didn't do the trick. I even took it to a technician this afternoon so he could dismantle the laptop and properly clean all the lint and dust because I had been told that overheating was the cause of the problem, but just a few minutes ago I got the black screen again.
The laptop doesn't even feel that hot at all, so I have no clue what it's causing this problem.
