Letter p continuously prints itself on my hp pavilion dv6?

My hp pavilion dv6 letter p prints continuously ppppppppp? A tech is going to replace an item in the keyboard today. I'll let you know if it works. He has already rebooted my laptop which did not help and probably did not need to be done at all. My laptop is only a little more than a year old and my warranty is no more. I think hp printers work fine but hp computers could use some help from their own company staff.
