My hp g6 notebook, about 1 year old. Windows 8, suddenly shuts down. Just a black screen. No error messages, no low battery message. The battery is not dead. Its done it 3 times on different days always when running under battery power. It does not do it when it is plugged in. When I plug it in and try to reboot, it has trouble loading windows. The little spinny thing was going around for about an hour with no other result. I turned it off and then when it turned on it did a system reset. Worked fine after that while plugged in, but had little screen blips (lines of black that would pop in and then out). I need it to be safe to run with the battery when I cannot plug it in. What to do?
The first two times it did this while Windows 8, so I updated to 8.1 hoping it would stop this, but it did it again after the update.
