I have a HP G60 laptop for the past few years the machine was working just fine. Then suddenly one day it became deathly slow, like it takes 5 minutes or more just to open the start menu.
I restored the laptop to factory setting and it became just great again like before. But 6 days later (after the factory restore) it became deathly slow again. This time I got a black screen that said something like "boot drive not detected press any button to continue"
I pressed but it did not go away. So I restarted the laptop and it booted just fine (a bit slower that before), but the windows became deathly slow. Trying to click anything take 5-10 mins for it to come up if it does at all.
I am currently using it in safe mode with networking and it is working just fine.
I am not sure what the problem is, it does not seem to be a software or virus cause I restored it to factory setting and that should have not been an issue.
Also the hard drive and memory test do not reveal any errors.
So I am not sure at all what is up.
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
