Default Upgrade Windows 8.1 Pavillion DV6 3180SD problems Videocard drivers???

Hello,

I am a newbee to this forum but hope someone can help me out. I recentlly upgraded my Pavillion from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1.

Windows 8 worked fine therefore i had no reason to think that 8.1 would cause any problems but when i start the notebook it is not always starting correctly. Mostly the screen keeps black and is not showing windows. I think the notebook is starting correct but the problem is de driver for the video card because if i give the notebook a hard reset (power off button) the windows screen is shown for just a split second. If i start up the notebook imediately again then windows starts fine so for some reason every 1st time the start up is giving problems.

I am not an expert but think the videocard driver is causing the troubles but perhaps people have other solutions. Please help me out
