I recently upgraded my g6-1b22ca fro Windows 7 Home premium to windows 8.1 Pro. After a long winded battle its on and running but without a few hiccups. Upon origionally installing the OS the computer would not turn itself off or sleep. Upon updating the BIOS and graphic drivers the computer will now shut down properly and go to sleep. The problem now is the wake up, the laptop will wake up and i can get to the password screen however that is as far as I can get as the keyboards funtionality seems to disappear when the computer wakes up and except for the singular click to get to the password screen the mouse will not work either. The laptop will the restart itself with the generic 8 BSOD message after a few seconds.
If anyone can help me with this issue it would be greatly appriciated
