Logitech G930 stuttering issues

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure where to post this, please feel to move this thread to where you think it fits best. I have the follwing problem:

I own a Logitech G930 Headset, and on my EliteBook 8560W it keeps stuttering. I've done every troubleshooting I could find, reinstalled drivers and Windows, used a powered USB hub, used a different USB port, and so forth. There are tons of people out there who have similar if not the same problems as me, all without solutions that helped me. Interestingly, though, my headset works fine on other computers. In fact, there are four of these in my flat, and all work fine on other computers, yet start stuttering on my laptop.

There is, however, one solution I have not yet tried. Some people reported success when disabling EIST, or SpeedStep in short, in their BIOS, respectively set C1E to "always on". Now I know this is not the smartest thing to do energywise, but I'd like to find a way to get rid of the stuttering without having to invest in another headset. Besides, the headset is obviously not faulty and the same problem could arise with other headsets, right?

So, long message short, is there any way to disable or edit Intel SpeedStep in the HP UEFI BIOS? None of the available options seem to be related to it, and the BIOS options seem to be rather limited compared to other products. I read about some BIOSes that have a hidden backdoor to get into more advanced settings, is there such a thing in the HP BIOS?

If not, any other suggestions as to what might be causing the problem?

Thank you in advance!
