I have been using my HP Pavilion dv6z-6100 laptop computer now for two years and have never had any problem with it until recently. However, I have encountered an issue with programs, that run in full-screen mode (such as videos in tunes, video games and videos on youtube), suddenly minimizes or exiting full screen mode and, often, crashing as a result. Upon minimizing/reducing size, no error message is displayed. I have run multiple virus scans with no issues/malware being found.
Recently, I realized that this issue might be linked with non-full-screen programs (internet browers, email, microsoft office programs, etc.) randomly becoming deselected. And very recently, I have occasionally caught sight of a program appear on the taskbar for less than a second or two (and thus I cannot tell you what program it is) before disappearing again. I cannot insist, without a doubt, that this program is present ever time the issue happens so I cannot be certain whether it is even related.
I have read into many forums and found various people seemingly having similar issues, except with the difference of their issues being solved by shutting down various programs or adjusting certain settings. I have tried many of these solutions to no avail.
I hope I have provided enough information such that it is apparent what might be causing this problem.
