I am having issues with my laptop. To start out, the factory hard drive failed just after the computer went out of warranty. I got the hard drive replaced, and that replacement failed after just THREE WEEKS!!!! In both instances, I took my computer to Best Buy's Geeksquad to have the drives swapped out and Windows reinstalled.
After the second HDD failure, I asked for a SSD to be installed. Actually, I had asked for a SSD to be installed after the factory drive failed, but Best Buy Geeksquad claimed that there were various errors encountered while Windows was installed and updates were running, so they put a HDD in. After this latest failure, they discovered that they could put in a Toshiba SSD which "appeared" to work.
I get the computer home and turn it on, and find that's all I can do. I can't get the wireless networks up so I can get online. I can't get applications like the Windows store to open. I can't get into change pc settings -- it just doesn't open. I don't even know if I connect a network cable to the computer if I can even get IE to open, based on everything else that isn't opening.
Any idea as to what's going on? I hope I'm not on my third hard drive failure.
