I have a just Presario CQ56-102SA Notepad  running Windows 7 Professional 64bit (I upgraded it a few years ago).

After getting a virus which was cleaned off - for good measure I decided to zpa the machine and start again.

After makingsure I hade backed up all my data I restorred Factory Setting

This restored the machine to Windows 7 Home Edition x64 and it seemed to be fine.

I then upgraded to Win 7 Professional x64

Now the problems begin:

- All the laptop functionality has gone - No Wireless / Cannot connect to a projector?

- After the machine has been on for a few minutes and it slowes down - never quite freezing but taking minutes to do what should take secounds - for example Closing Windows Explorer.

-Then it will not shut down - the rotating Circle that Win 7 uses to show that something is happening stops revolving.

The only way to swithch off is to use the power button and the only way to get the Notepad to restart is to take out the battery for 5 mins and re-start. Then it will restart work ok for a few minutes & thne it gring=ds to a halt again.

I have tried restoring factory setting againg - Using the esc button on startup but now the F11 button no longer works?

I have tried to use the HP Site to download all the missing drivers but the notepa freezes before the HP download can finish installing.

I have trid to ordera recovery disk but the  site for ordering a recovery disk does not recognise my notepads Product Number:

Any suggestions?
