HP Elitebook 820 synaptic driver issues

Hi,

I have a HP Elitebook 820 which i love... But the one issue that is driving me mad is the touchpad mouse.

It locks up or goes erratic every day, I have uninstalled the Synaptic driver and reinstalled it from the HP support site.

It works for a time and then plays up. The “nipple” mouse always works..

I have made changes to the touchpad which have helped a little, I stop the “magnify” option, as the mouse would shrink and zoom the screen at any time, this has now stopped.

I double click on the Synaptic icon on tool bar and there you can reset the mouse, this works , but soon stops or goes mad..

Anyone got any ideas?
