I have a hp pavilion g7, operating with windows 7
As of this evening, my laptop is failing to start up and freezes on the 'starting up' page display. After doing several of the recommended options, I ran the start up test which has failed.
The display screen reads-

Smart check: passed
Short dst: failed

Hard disk 1
Start up test: failed
Where do I go from here to fix this issue?
