HP 15 d035dx Notebook PC  running Windows 7 64 bit product number G1V01UA#ABA Sys board CT number PECFUA37V5YPXO. Laptop was running ok, not great ! Tried to update BIOS in windows with this version sp64684 . The update appeared to install ok, then I shut the notebook down and tried to reboot. I get this message :

Boot device not found

Please install an operating system

Hard Disk  (3FO)

F2 System Diagnostics

In F2 I tried a "hard drive check" came back OK ! It appears to not recognize the hard drive at all. I tried and removed the hard drive cable from the motherboard, I don't if this has the same effect as unseating the hard drive but I gave it a try. NO change,  I tried to run a bootable DVD of windows 7 OS it loads and installs the drivers then the "starting windows" LOGO comes up and it stalls there.

I tried to flash BIOS in dos with a bootable USB drive, but I don't know if the USB has the wrong files on it or maybe the notebook doesn't recognize a USB device. No change!

I can bring up the BIOS setup utility, but after the BIOS update, under "Boot Options" I have all the UEFI Boot Order listings, But all the lantentcy UEFI Boot listings are gone.

Tried holding windows + B buttons then power button, then the fn +B and after that I tried holding all the buttons but I ran out of fingers Lol , no go there either.

I figure at this point my only hope is maybe some help with a bootable BIOS in dos CD with the correct files on it, the notebook definately regonizes a CD/DVD. I have made several atempts but really have no idea what motherboard or BIOS chip is in the notebook, any info on these would be awsome. So at this point any help would be GREAT !!!  Thank You
