Hi there. The touch pad in my hp laptop, purchased this year, freezes without warning. Hitting "Control 0" usually unfreezes it but only temporarily. On other occasions, there is a sudden font-size change that takes place, which Control 0 won't always rectify. I had been blaming the problem on the Windows8 which is squirrley enough without this. I have to hit the "control 0" dozens of times during each session. It has been a nightmare. Yesterday a friend recommended I try his remote mouse and the mouse worked perfectly!! But i would prefer a fix on the touch pad before running out to buy an expensive mouse. Thanks for any help.
The only external indicators of model number are "HP" and "2000" marked on the black console.
