"A Script is running" Continue, Stop Script etc

I own this  HP Pavilion g6-1b60us Notebook PC.

Recently a dialogue box has been popping up with the message that "A Script is running ............" then it would ask if to let the script continue, stop it etc.

Usually this takes forever to go. Whether I stop it or leave it to continue it takes forever to complete and at times, it freezes up until I have to reboot and force it to close. Even then, it takes a long time to shut down or restart.

What do I do?

Please help.
