Mouse/pad frozen

Hi,

My HP Pavillion dv5 mouse and mouse pad is frozen. I have turned off the computer several times. I also have taken out the battery and unplugged the charger from it. I also turned it back on while holding the power button for 10 seconds to try and reset. It is still not working and still frozen. If you don't mind helping me with this problem that would be greatly appreciated!
