Hi all fellow Hp'ers
i have just purchased an HP - Pavilion 15-n096ea 15.6" Laptop.
it was updated to win 8.1 and since i've been using it i have noticed a couple of issues.
firstly is the annoying clicking/clunking noise, of the cd drive spinning up for no reason at all.
and secondly the mouse pointer just not moving when the mousepad is used, this can be inactive for between 10-25 seconds, again for what appears to be no reason at all.
I have tried to look for an update for the bios, but HP's online system to search my laptop for its model and out of date drivers fails to identify the laptop. and the HP Support asistant software on the laptop, shows up some drivers to be updated, but can't seem to install those, and the downloading from the HP servers are so slow, its like slipping back in time to pre2000 for modem download speeds. overall i'm really disappointed with this laptop, but if i could fix these 2 issues that would be great.
any ideas would be greatly appreciated
