Pavilion dv7-3165el

Hello, I am new here.

I've a notebook pavillion dv7-3165el (Model WJ199EA) and I have a problem tha no one semms to know how to solve.

Almost an year ago I started to hav my PC freeze and the num and caps lock led blink. I took it to the assistance wich told me they have changed the graphic board(I hope I wrote it correct) so when i had my PC back I installed everything from the start. After a few months the problem re-appeared and I went to another assistance and asked. So I discovered that the blinking frequency has a meaning based on how many times the leds blink. So I discovered that they blink twice and it means that it is the BIOS that is corrupted. But I have alway known that the BIOS can't be corrupted ovenight so I tried again to format the PC and installa again everything. As for the windows updates I decided to try to install just a couple of updates for each time and see what happens because I suspected that it could be a Windows Update to cause the problem. and after a couple of updates past the "ServicePack1 point" the problem reappears. So this time I tried to restore the PC to the last restore point and now it all works well-

I would like to know if I am right to think that the problem is caused by a specific windows update and wich one it could be or how to solve the problem and go on with the update. Furthermore I would like to know if I have to fix the BIOS anyway and how to do it because on the product driver page on the HP site I found a BI§OS version that is 1 month and a half older than the one I have installed on my pc.

I hope to solve this problem because I love my PC and it still works well so I hope i should be a fixable software problen and not a definitive hardware one.

Thank you
