Hi!

Over the last few months I have been experiencing some slight issues relating to my computer. To begin, my computer's screen would suddenly go black however I could still operate my computer (just couldn't see anything). Every now and then, however, it would freeze my computer and a hard reboot would be required. My graphics card's fan would also sound like it's having a heart attack....

Usually a hard reboot would fix the error however last week it went black and remained that way after some seriously loud clicking noises coming from my computer. When I turn my computer on now, my computer loads just fine but my monitor is now telling me that I have nothing connected so no picture. However, the light on my keyboard are loading just fine without any blinking at all.

Can I assume my graphics card is shot? I'm low on money so if I have to replace my graphics card I'd like to at least have an idea that it's the cause of the problem. Or is it my power supply?

If it is my graphics card, what type of card should I look at replacing it with? As my computer is a bit old, I'm not sure if newer cards would work...

Thanks for any possible support in advance!
