Recently (yesterday), I purchased a HP Envy 17-J184na. Everything was going fine until a moment ago I inserted a DVD.
After testing what software installed/ran once a disk was inserted, I tried to take it back out.
Unfortunately, the tray is not opening. Pressing the button, right clicking eject, any kind of method of ejection is not working.
It makes six attempts to open (six noises that I guess indicate it trying to unlatch or whatever), and then it just re-reads the dvd and opens the player.
I'm not too sure what to do, and I'm rather annoyed as I only bought it yesterday and already it's **bleep**ed up somehow.
I'm not sure if the little hole on the side of the tray is for a paperclip, as it doesn't seem to be doing anything and I don't want to continue poking something around in there incase it's not.
I can't really open up the laptop and pull it out, as that would void my warranty and I'm not exactly a computer genius. I don't want to risk damaging it completely or failing to get it back together.
Help is needed and appreciated.
