I was hoping someone could help me troubleshoot a problem I am having with my HP Laptop (2011 HP Pavillion Dv6 6104ca, running windows 7).
My laptop usually runs flawlessly, however, occasionally when I shut the screen(continues to run, but wont display anything or works when pluged into my tv, turn it off(wont turn back on for a couple days) or put it to sleep it wont wake up again for a couple days. I'm not sure what is causing this, because the computer always has worked again sometimes a couple minutes or up to a week later which is the strange part. I think all my drivers are up to date, have re-flashed my BIOS and have all current updates installed. I'm not sure if its a hardware problem like a loose connection or something software related.
My last resort is to completely wipe my laptop and have a fresh windows install and if that doesnt work, I will either bring it in to get fixed or have to buy a new laptop. Hopefully someone can help me out!
