Have never been able to update IE9. Every time I follow the "solved" postings instructions then let Windows Update install, the BSOD happens all over again. It's incredible to me that neither HP nor Microsoft have been willing or able to create an effective fix for this issue. It all centers around Update for Microsoft Windows (KB 2670838). Installing KB2834140 did not fix the issue on my laptop. An otherwise good experience with this HP product has turned very frustrating. The support posts on both HP and Microsoft taking my on this endless loop of frustration. I bought this laptop in 2012 with such high hopes.
