I have a Windows 7 G62 that keeps freezing up. After doing a restore I noticed it worked slightly better. Then I ran a CHKDSK and found all kinds of errors but I could not repair them since on the last phase the drive wouldn hang at 60%.
I took the disk out and hooked it to another pc to run the repair, but it looks like it's too far gone.
The activation code is gone from the bottom (well the sticker is there but to worn out), and I don't have recovery disks. Is there a hardrive that can be put in that already has the windows oem for my system or am I better off putting in a cheap sata drive and using linux?
Thanks,
Scott
