Hello i have a Pavilion Dv6-6c35dx I just got a new fan for it because the old one went out. I installed it fine and had no problems. At first the computer ran fine untill i started running a PC game. after about 5 minutes the computer shuts down on its own while playing the game. When I restart the computer it reads error message (90D), and states that it shut down due to overheating.. To the touch the PC is not warm at all. I have it sitting on a laptop lap cooling fan that cools it from the bottom as well. What could be the issue? only thing i can think of is when i removed the old fan. Under where the thermal temperature gauge there was a silvery looking substance there. I assumed it was suppose to be there. Was i wrong and do i need to go back and remove that Hard silver substance? could this be causing the error and shutting down of the PC?
