This morning I opened up my 8440P after the laptop had been in sleeping mode and it shows only a black screen and 4 times the diagnostic lights + pause then repeat.<br><br>According to HP it should be a graphic card issue, in my case the Intel graphics. I have tried a hard reset and removing the RAM memory, with no result. Except that the lights stop flashing when all RAM has been removed. The issue has occurred a couple of days after I have upgraded the RAM with 4GB of memory.<br><br>The laptop is out of warranty so I hope there's no need for any motherboard replacement.<br><br>Please help because the laptop has been working superb with the new RAM installed, it would be a shame if it'd had to be sold for parts.
