HP Pavilion DV7-4197 CL using Windows 7 stops responding at anythime. I don't have to be on the internet for it to stop working. The mouse, keyboard and touch pad stop working. The only way I can make it work is to power cycle it from the power botton. I have had it checked twice by a computer shop and it passes all the hardaware and software tests.
I have reformated by using the Recovery partition and it still does it. As far as I know, I have all updates and also have the antivirus up to date.
It freezes while using it with the wire less mouse as well as with out it. I went to HP website and updated all drivers and still freezes.
At the moment I have dissabled the touch pad to see it that could be the cause. So far it is working fine, but I have not used it long enough to say that the problem has been fixed by doing so. I also have updated the Synaptics driver and while the touch pad was in use, it froze.
Any ideas as to what is causing this? I see someone else posted the same issue I am still having.
