Hi, I am experiencing the problem. After a bios update to F.36 a couple of weeks ago, the laptop (Spectre x360 Convertible 15-bl1XX) will reboot again and again after shutting it off. Of course, I tried all options that are discussed on the internet for this kind of issue (bios settings for waking, etc.), I also tested a bios roll-back to F.35 but that didnt help.
There are also some other posts on the hp board by users with the same spectre model experiencing the problem as well. Therefore, I really believe that this is an issue related to this specific spectre model. If somebody comes up with a solution, please feel free to share your insight.
To be honest, however, I feel like there should be an official fix by HP. We all paid quite an amount of money for this device and directly after unboxing it the laptop started to stutter/freeze due to the already well known panel self-refresh issue in the intel driver for the integrated graphics. It took me several hours to find the solution that was provided by other users (not HP officials!) here on the board and the problem has still not been adressed by any software updates. Being a PhD student I have working hours of more than 60-70 hours a week, so I really don't feel like I should be the one solving these kind of issues during my freetimee, especially not after having paid the already mentioned substantial amount of money. Other than that, the device is pretty neat but the (re-) occuring issues are becoming more and more frustrating ...
