I just bought the HP TouchSmart 14 Sleekbook last week, from Wal-Mart. It was working fine until yesterday when it was time for automatic Windows 8 updates. As it was updating I got a message saying: " failure configuring windows updates, would y o u like to restore the computer to an earlier time when it was working?" I said yes to this, then after a few minutes an error saying "Failure reversing changes do not turn off your computer". And every since then, thats all I get. The little circular thing goes round and round but I have no access to any key functions. I have no access to the start menu or any other programs. .I can only turn it off by holding the power key down for several seconds or removing the battery. When power is restored the same message is still on the screen! I am 250 miles away from any Walmart.....so returning it is not an bbc.co option right now!! Help!
