I have a HP Split X2 13 inch hybrid computer. I have noticed that is seems to use more RAM than it should. I have 4GB RAM but it seems to always be using 3GB even when I am not running programs other than what loads at startup. Should it operate this way? To me this does not seem normal.
I have checked task manager and I don't see anything thats really using that much RAM. It appears that the RAM use is occuring but it is not reflected in task manager or the processes. I do not know where it is coming from. Is this just what Windows 8 does with normal operation or do I have a problem? I can't see why it would use so much RAM when it is idle.
