Hi,Pl,help me to solve this
First i got this error "cmos checksum is invalid, Cmos will be reset to default configs & will be rebooted. Pl check your bios
options to see if they change. CMOS Reset (502). - but cannot go to bios set up (press "Esc" to go to startup menu message does not come)
After going through forum , I noticed my lap bios is corrupted, I down loaded lateset bios from hp , (sp 60864) extracted files (SWsetup) folder & copied .bin files ( four .bin files with different numbers, shown as VLC media files) to my USB, connected the usb & booted the lap.
Now when I press f10 it goes to a screen called "Insyde H20 Setup utility" and there is nothing i can do except changing date , time & boot order. I followed instruction given in one of the replies. on how to flash bios using USB drive,
in that it says to copy .bin file to usb, connect usb to the pc that needs bios update, press f10 to goto bios menu and select
File & select Flash ROM - But I cant see anything like this (File or Flash system ROm) on this "Insyde H20 set up utility" screen. Pl. tell me is this the bios set up utility screen I'm getting ?.
Also I' getting "Hard disk Not Exist" & No operating system installed.
I fitted a brand new hard drive and tried, but Nothing happening, same error messeage appers saying "No hard disk" (3FO), "operating system missing".
Highly appreciate if anybody could help me to solve this problem
