hp pavillion Windows Vista laptop won't boot black screen blinking lights clicking sounds

My computer worked fine this morning. Now when I turned it on the lights come on and cap locks etching are blinking.  It is making clicking sounds. The screen is black. I have turned it off and restarted twice. Help. I know nothing.
